British artist Carl Matthews began composing to film after doing a commissioned piece ('The Bather') for the Arts Council, Carlisle UK. He became a member of the PRS for Music in 2002 and has created over 200 tracks to date. Carl is much in demand these days, with credits that include BBC1 'Panorama', BBC2 Ben Fogles 'Extreme Dreams', BBC2 'Blood and Guts', ITV 'The Paul O'Grady Show', and many more.
Carl Matthews has a rich history in the music field, with his music being featured on 22 albums plus releases of four full albums of his own, including Quazy Quirky, Ethereal Senses, Altered State of Mind, and Minimalistic Spacious.
In his previous incarnation Carl was one of the leading lights in the emerging UK electronic movement (c. late 1970's). His music was featured on many cassette releases through Mirage, the ICR label and Electronical Dreams, playing live at the UK Electronica festival in Sheffield University/Octagon Centre complex 1984.
