On the 11 tracks of debut album I am nothing, (THE) SILENT DAYS began to mix their many influences to produce songs combining sweet pop in the style of Ben Kweller (Without A Sound) with a more rough-and-ready lo-fi rock reminiscent of Sebadoh among others (In The Park).
From a fruitful collaboration with Ken Stringfellow (The Posies) came "Any Summer Days", a true jewel of college rock with melancholy lyrics, which is proving to be one of the album’s finest moments. The band also brought in American singer Kate Sikora who, from her adopted home Japan, agreed to lend her melodious voice to the excellent "Never My Eyes".
