Three members of the Swing and Jive band “The Jive Aces" play on "Simon Says". The album was recorded mostly live to give it a more authentic feel, this means the musicians rehearsed all the songs beforehand and then played each track in as organic as possible. Of the 7 track EP, all bar one were written by Catherine herself.
All vocals are sung by Catherine, including arranging the harmonies of all the backing vocals. Born in Vienna, to her father an author and Austrian mother, both working and living in the Austrian art scene of the time, surrounded by their friends and acquaintances of various classes from artists to aristocracy. At the age of nine, Catherine's family lived in England and a couple of years later moved to Denmark. Whilst at School there, Catherine sang in the school choir and toured through Europe, appearing on TV and Radio Shows. On a whim her two sisters and her started to sing together and worked up quite a repertoire of 30's and 40's style songs. The group started to get quite successful and soon they decided to move back to England, however different career opportunities put their project on hold. Catherine accompanies herself on guitar but her ethereal vocals and ability to capture the listener are one of her finest strengths. After completing a basic course in Art she turned her attention to music again. Wanting to know more about the music industry she worked for "The End of the Road Festival" behind the scenes for a couple of years whilst writing new material, some of the songs written during that period will be featured on her forthcoming EP. She is currently based in the UK. Catherine poses as a model for various art projects. She writes reviews for films published on her blog "Mania". Featured on "Don't Wanna Feel This" by Ludwig Amadeus in March 2011. Artist of the month: Orange Avenue

Orange Avenue is a five-piece American Pop-rock band from the shores of Daytona Beach, FL. Like many before them, OA started out as a diverse group of local musicians; playing on the traditional rock formula, however, Orange Avenue set themselves apart sonically from their peers and soon became one of Florida’s largest concert draws. Orange Avenue released their self-titled debut CD (affectionately dubbed the "Orange Album" by fans) in the middle of ’07. Selling over 11,000 copies without the help of major marketing and touring support, the “Orange Album” went on to garner airplay from local radio stations such as WJRR in Orlando, and WVYB in Daytona Beach, as well as attention from numerous central Florida publications. In the few short years since their first release, Orange Avenue have shared the stage with The All American Rejects, Rihanna, Smash Mouth, Hello Goodbye, Low vs. Diamond, Egypt Central, Pop Evil, We The Kings, Anberlin, Fuel, Seven Mary Three, and many other talented artists.

Artist of the month: (The) Silent Days

Leaving aside their power-pop inspired by the 90’s that we could ear on their debut album "I Am Nothing", which was released in 2008, (the) Silent Days reveal a more pop and more aerial sumptuous-sounding universe to give way to an increasing musical maturity.

Recorded and produced at studio Microclimat in Epinal by Vincent Hermon at the initiative of the executive producer Dominique Marotel, the aptly named California EP suggests broader and further afield horizons thanks to its subtle arrangements. Five songs inspired by 70's California pop and by today's songwriters such as John Vanderslice, Lou Barlow, Evan Dando or Josh Rouse to name a few, this new record gives birth to an imaginary world and calls more than ever to dream, to escape and travel.

Artist of the month: Soldout

Soldout are Charlotte and David. They met in 2003 and recorded a demo mixing each others influences.

Definitely electro, but deep and sensitive, they signed their music on the belgian label Anorak Supersport and released their first album Stop talking in Benelux in 2004.

With the support of all press and radios, they started touring and soon became everybody's favourites.

From the crazy kids to the new wave lovers, the nightclubbers, the mudlovers, the nostalgics of EBM, and the return of the eighties dance kings, they all fell for this fresh and sweaty band.
