Logwood is the radical sound out of the Bronx. Whether it’s soca, roots and culture, dancehall, hip-hop, RnB, or soul, Logwood comfortably grooves the spectrum.
Founded in the autumn of 2001 by Greame “I-Adon” Samuels, Logwood’s function was to work as a production company creating music and providing a wide range of services for artists within a hospitable environment. The feedback was positive and in a short space of time a core of artists, musicians and producers began to contribute to what has become known as the Logwood Sound.
The production team consists of Greame “I-Adon” Samuels, Nigel “Despret One” Roberts, and Silas Carty, In addition to creating their own sound Logwood works and collaborates with several other producers including Bitter Knight, Jayarr and Wonford Duberry.
The Logwood mission is to spread Blazing Hot tracks worldwide. Industry and Indie artists, Music-lovers looking for fresh sounds, and members of the broadcast community alike have included the Logwood Sound in their productions.
Logwood’s unique tracks have brought flavor to a variety of programming on BET, MTV, VH1, Oxygen Network, and SPIKE TV. Logwood produced “Stamma” for Kulcha Don’s It’s All About You-RuffNation’s first 2006 album release. Logwood has produced a number of singles for AV8 Records, and a slew of songs and full length albums for independent artists.
